October MS PHARM Diary.

  • October: 13.50 hours.
  • Fall Semester Cumulative: 13.50 hours.
Figure 1. 8.50 hours
Figure 1. is from my time at the City Park Botanical Garden Show. I originally signed up for one day but had so much fun that I decided to return the following Sunday and help out. It was by far the best relief from studying.

Figure 2. 5 hours.

Figure 2. is from my time at Boo at the Zoo in Audubon Zoo. I helped out over at the Haunted House. I assumed the Haunted House would be this low-budget room with clowns. To my surprise, there were lights, moving objects, real live clowns, and so much more. I have never laughed so hard.

I intentionally chose certain volunteering opportunities because it is usually the only time I can get out and explore the city. I met so many natives and even a couple of Tulane Math professors. During this month, I struggled so much with Principles. I find it to be the most demanding subject to grasp. I learned that I thoroughly enjoy the application questions from Med Pharm. Next month, I look forward to volunteering at a local hospital and some hands-on medicine. Moreover, final exams are slowly creeping up, and the course load seems to be rapidly increasing.
