Figure 1. 4 hours City Park Lark in the Park
I spent some time at Lark in the Park volunteering and coordinating guests' experiences. Part of being a well-rounded physician is knowing how to interact with people from various backgrounds. My volunteer opportunities at CP have given me just that. I have met many educated people to use as a resource for the remainder of my time in New Orleans.

As part of my routine volunteer at Ochsner, continuing Pre-med education, I led the manual blood pressure segment. Surprisingly, they were very skilled. It took me two full semesters of training for my license to truly become precise at taking manual blood pressure, and I still didn't learn it properly until after learning the brachial plexus in the cadaver lab. The boys then followed up by learning gel electrophoresis and experimenting to test for cancer genes. Oncology is very near and dear to my heart, as I've been to more oncology appointments before age 25 than the average person. The boys were greatly interested in DNA and what we learned at Tulane. While my time with Ochsner Student Education will end next month, I will never forget what the kids taught me and all the laughs they offered.

Next month, I look forward to tying up loose ends and finishing up final exams.
